Miami was a beautiful escape from the London weather this winter and especially to have the opportunity to photograph the exteriors and rooftop of The Grove at Grand Bay in Coconut Grove. Designed by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) it’s a structural engineers heaven.. (or challenge!) in fact I think they won an award for it (DeSimone Engineers). The two towers spiral and twist out of the palms.
There is a wonderful concrete canopy which joins the 2 towers and is beautiful from below and above. The organic curves soften the angular balconies rotating and spiralling above. Both towers have wonderful rooftop pools and more lovely concrete walls. There are a few photos from the project uploaded into the open spaces gallery
