Unseen London (by Hoxton Mini Press)

Blog post Published by

The very stylish independent publisher Hoxton Mini Press has produced a great book called ‘Unseen London’.

25 contemporary photographers who had captured and seen London from quite different perspectives contributed to the beautifully produced hardback book .   I was delighted to be part of ‘Unseen London’ with some shots from the Olympic Structures project in 2012. It’s beautifully written by Rachel Segal Hamilton.

There are some great projects in the book, including some of  Simon Norfolk’s  images taken from under London during the Crossrail excavation and construction.   So many great shots to look at but the highlights for me were ‘On the night bus’ by Nick Turpin, ‘Eternal London’ by Giacomo Brunelli, ‘Sketch’ by David Vintiner and ‘All that life can afford’ by Matt Stuart, but the variety of styles in the book is such that there is pretty much something for everyone.

… and here’s the inevitable plug…..the book cost £26 and you can buy it through this link …. https://www.hoxtonminipress.com/collections/books/products/unseen-london .  Also a very nice touch by Hoxton Mini Press is their personal wrapping paper which is a delight to receive.
